Job Description Job Description The Senior Estimator is
responsible for leading the preparation of detailed and accurate
cost estimates for complex projects. This role involves reviewing
project plans and specifications, conducting site visits, analyzing
labor, materials, and time requirements, and developing competitive
bids. The Senior Estimator collaborates with project managers,
general contractors, design teams, and clients to ensure
cost-effective and compliant proposals. They also mentor junior
estimators and contribute to strategic pricing and risk assessment
decisions. Duties/Responsibilities: Able to perform all
Masonry/Stucco/EIFS Estimator responsibilities. Be well versed in
different assemblies and assembly components for masonry, stucco,
EIFS, Stone, and Waterproofing. The ability to estimate and oversee
multiple projects simultaneously. Estimate complex projects and
prepare cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiate proposals
for multiple projects. Communicate with GCs on system scopes,
logistics, schedule, installation of system, sequencing, project
funding. Work directly with VP of Sales/Estimating Manager to take
projects once awarded though precon activities. Lead Precon
Turnover meetings to operations. Compile submittal packages for
awarded scopes, request samples and shop drawings. Review project
schedule and understand how project aligns with in-house schedule
gaps and crew needs. Review and develop scope for bid packages
after reading, reviewing, and studying construction documents
(specifications, plans, addendums, RFIs) for the purpose of
understanding the design intent and constructability of the
project. Attend pre-bid meetings, site tours etc. to determine
scope of work and required contents of estimate. Meet Owners/GC’s
on site to review repair and renovation work, perform field
estimates, and compile estimates based on site walk. Prepare
estimates based on complete takeoff of scope of work and soliciting
pricing from qualified vendors and subcontractors. Prepare and
assemble other information to be submitted with the proposal, such
as project value engineering ideas, unit prices, safety
information, price breakouts, quantities, schedules, and insurance
information. Track and follow up on proposal by collecting
feedback, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends from
customers. Evaluates challenges that may not be on construction
documentation and incorporates those into project budget. System
knowledge and understanding of unit costs and the factors that
affect construction costs. Review drawings and specifications to
ensure required documentation is present and determine scope of
work. Builds effective relationships with customers,
subcontractors, suppliers, and others that reflect and support the
company core values and exceeds customer expectations. Education
and Experience: A degree in construction, business, engineering, or
related field is desired, but not required. 5 years of experience
in masonry/Stone, stucco/EIFS, Fluid Applied WRB’s, is desired, but
not required. 5 years of preconstruction/estimating experience on
commercial projects. Experience with Onscreen software required (or
digital takeoff software) Experience with construction drawings and
specifications Strong familiarity with project estimation software
tools, methodologies, and best practices Able to manage multitask
multiple projects concurrently. Ability to create professional
proposals and presentations. Experience with Microsoft projects
(Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent analytical &
mathematical skills Possess excellent negotiation and strong
communications skills, verbal and written. Detail-oriented with
excellent organizational and time-management skills. Tools Blue

software Physical Requirements: The Estimator role typically
involves both office and fieldwork. Physical demands may include:
Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or
reviewing documents Walking, standing, or climbing during site
visits or inspections Occasional lifting of plans, documents, or
equipment (up to 25 pounds) Visual acuity to read blueprints,
specifications, and perform detailed analysis Manual dexterity for
using computers, calculators, and measuring tools Ability to travel
to job sites, clients, or vendor locations as needed
