UCHealth invites applications for the position of Respiratory Care Therapist within our dynamic team in Colorado, committed to innovative and compassionate patient care. As a Respiratory Care Therapist, you will have the opportunity to utilize advanced medical technologies and procedures to care for patients across a variety of health care settings. This role is fundamental in treating patients with breathing or other cardiopulmonary disorders, and you will work closely with physicians to devise and apply appropriate therapies. Assess and treat patients suffering from cardiopulmonary disorders or complications. Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity, to assist in therapy selection. Operate and monitor respiratory equipment to administer treatments like oxygen or aerosol medications. Educate patients and families on lung health and maintenance regimens. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. Document patient care effectively for accurate record keeping and billing. Proficient in the operation of respiratory care equipment Excellent patient assessment skills Strong understanding of cardiopulmonary physiology and other related sciences Ability to work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team Strong communication skills for patient instruction and team collaboration Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), as applicable. Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the state of Colorado.
