Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Lafayette, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,962 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist Profession: Medical Laboratory Scientist Specialty: - Duration: 13 Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: One year License: - Certifications: MT(ASCP) or CLS (ASCP) Must-Have: Bachelors Degree Description: Performs and interprets designated laboratory procedures. Performs serologic, chemical, bacteriologic, immunohematologic (blood bank), and microscopic procedures and related duties to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease. Performs accurate and appropriate testing on laboratory specimens/collections according to established laboratory protocol and procedures. Reports results in a timely manner. Troubleshoots instruments, equipment, reagents, and patient specimen/product problems using standard laboratory techniques as required. Performs laboratory quality control, including reporting discrepancies and troubleshooting according to established procedures and protocols. Takes appropriate action to ensure quality results/products are provided for use by healthcare providers. Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed maintenance and calibrations on instruments and equipment to meet all quality requirements. Conducts verification tests on new products, instruments, and procedures which include comparisons and statistical analysis as requested. Performs quality audit data collection, technical policy/procedure development, and inspection assistance under the direction of laboratory management. Maintains workflow in the clinical laboratory through proficiency in testing and maintaining work areas, supply stock, monitoring, and assistance in management of inventory. Assists in training and orientation of new associates. Promotes the organization's mission, vision, and values, and abides by service behavior standards. Performs other duties as assigned.
