disability insurance Job Details Job Details: We are seeking a
dynamic and experienced Purchasing and Inventory Supervisor to join
our Manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be
responsible for managing all purchasing and inventory control
functions to ensure cost-effective management of resources, timely
delivery of goods to clients, and effective inventory management.
This role is pivotal in supporting the company's manufacturing
operations and requires a strategic thinker with a strong
understanding of supply chain management. The role reports directly
to the Operations Manager and will have a significant impact on the
efficiency and productivity of our operations. Responsibilities:
Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies. Track and report
key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve
effectiveness. Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with
optimal terms. Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear
requirements documentation. Forecast price and market trends to
identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power. Perform cost
and scenario analysis, and benchmarking. Assess, manage and
mitigate risks. Seek and partner with reliable vendors and
suppliers. Determine quantity and timing of deliveries. Oversee the
management of inventory levels to ensure that they are at optimal
levels. Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
and distribution of inventory. Implement inventory audit procedures
and manage the physical inventory process. Collaborate with other
departments to integrate logistics with business systems or
processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or
shipping. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain
management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the
manufacturing industry. Proven experience in warehousing and
inventory management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and
inventory management software. Strong knowledge of supply chain
management required. Excellent negotiation skills required. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational
skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal
communication skills. Ability to manage, guide and lead employees
to ensure appropriate inventory processes are in place. Ability to
adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks
simultaneously within compressed timeframes. Strong understanding
of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain. Knowledge of
sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in
reading the market. Aptitude in decision-making and working with
numbers. Experience in collecting and analyzing data. Strong
