Job Description Job Description Primary Job Title: Phlebotomist - 1st Shift Alternate / Related Job Titles: • Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) • Senior Phlebotomist • Clinical Phlebotomist II • Patient Service Center Phlebotomist Location & Onsite Flexibility: Englewood, NJ — Onsite Contract Details Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: Approximately 10 weeks Start: As Soon As Possible Pay Rate: $19.85–$21.80 per hour Schedule / Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (No paid lunch; 30-minute unpaid break) Job Summary The Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) represents the face of the company to patients visiting for routine healthcare services or critical health decisions. This role is responsible for collecting quality blood specimens , preparing samples for laboratory testing, and ensuring patient comfort while following established practices and procedures. The PSR II maintains direct patient interaction , builds trust, explains procedures clearly, and performs blood draws in a safe, accurate, and professional manner. Assignments may include a doctor’s office, patient service center, or other locations based on business needs. Key Responsibilities • Perform daily activities accurately and on time under area supervisor direction • Maintain a safe and professional environment • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing following established procedures • Verify patient demographic information and obtain patient initials/signature post-venipuncture to confirm proper tube labeling • Maintain required records and documentation • Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public Required Skills & Qualifications Required: • Ability to provide error-free work in a fast-paced environment • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision • Excellent phlebotomy skills , including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime • Commitment to company policies, dress code, employee health & safety, and guiding principles • Ability to exercise sound judgment based on established procedures • Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record (if applicable) • Ability to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations with minimal notice • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume environment • Superior customer focus and clear, transparent communication skills Preferred: • Medical Assistant or Paramedic training • Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in CA, NV, and WA) Education & Experience Education: • High school diploma or equivalent Experience: • Three (3) years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections • Minimum two (2) years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred • Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred • Keyboarding and data entry experience required Licensure State of Credentials/Licenses Required: NJ Benefits Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans 401k Retirement Fund About the Company Leading provider of diagnostic information services empowering healthier lives.
