Job Summary:
HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's is seeking a pediatric
interventional cardiologist to join their growing pediatric
cardiology service and serve as Medical Director of the Pediatric
Cath Lab
Medical Director Responsibilities:
- Provide direct clinical care in the cath lab, inpatient units,
and outpatient clinics
- Oversee pediatric cardiac catheterization procedures - ensuring
safety, quality, and adherence to evidence-based standards
- Drive adoption of new devices and techniques in collaboration
with industry and academic partners
- Lead and develop a state-of-the-art interventional cardiology
program.
- Participate in weekly cardiology case conference
- Grow and advance the interventional cardiology program through
innovation, technology adoption, and strategic planning
- Collaborate with cardiac surgery, ICU, and cardiology divisions
to strengthen the congenital heart program
- Develop new clinical pathways to improve patient access and
outcomes
- Lead quality improvement initiatives related to cath lab
performance, outcomes, and patient safety
- Standardize care protocols across the interventional and
broader cardiology teams
- Ensure regulatory compliance with hospital, state, and national
standards
- Manage cath lab operations including scheduling, staffing, and
equipment planning
- Participate in budgeting and resource allocation for the
interventional program
- Represent the program in hospital committees, leadership
meetings, and community partnerships
Candidate Requirements:
- Board certified in pediatric cardiology
- Pediatric interventional cardiology fellowship trained
- 3+ years practice experience preferred
- Collaborative, motivated, and committed to excellence in
patient care
- Strong leadership and management skills
