Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A certified Surgical Technologist is needed to provide essential support during moderate to high acuity surgical cases in the operating room. This role demands expertise in prepping the surgical environment, anticipating surgeon needs, and assisting the care team to ensure patient safety and sterile conditions. The ideal candidate demonstrates advanced surgical skills, critical thinking, and effective communication, thriving in fast-paced, high-stakes settings. Key Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms and surgical fields with necessary instruments and supplies according to procedure preference cards. Assist surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating needs during procedures. Maintain sterile technique and ensure accurate surgical counts. Clean and sterilize instruments post-procedure; manage inventory and supply restocking. Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide culturally sensitive, patient-centered care. Participate in performance improvement and training initiatives. Comply with all regulatory standards and safety protocols, including Joint Commission requirements. Provide occasional call or late coverage as needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST, TS-C, CSFA, or CSA) with national certification. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation. Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Effective teamwork and interpersonal skills.
