Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: Ability to cover OR procedures
with C-arms. Description: Unit Notes: Hiring Process includes a
profile review and an interview with the unit manager. The radius
for candidates is 60 miles. A driver's license must be submitted.
Clinicians must be present in state for a week of orientation,
including remote modules on the first day. A radiation badge must
be provided by the agency; the facility will not provide them.
Department includes Radiology - General X-Ray. Common certification
requirements include BLS and ARRT. The department has 3
scanners/rooms, including 2 fluoroscopy rooms, 6 portables, and 9
C-arms. There is no requirement to float or cover other areas.
Imaging studies performed include covering emergency department,
inpatient, orthopedic, and spine procedures in the operating room.
The average number of scans/studies performed per day is 20-30. The
department uses Epic and Fuji PACS. Department specific equipment
includes GE devices. The supervisor for the department is Jenevieve
Tomlinson. The department does utilize Physician Assistants.
Radiologists are available on-site during the day; nights are
covered remotely. No intravenous starts are required. Shift
scheduling does not allow for self-scheduling and has routine
templates. Weekend and holiday requirements are in place. There is
no call or standby requirement. Scrub color is hospital-provided
blues. The department orientation includes an equipment overview,
tour, and Epic setup. The cancellation policy allows the hospital
to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment. Charting systems
in use include Epic. Trauma level for the department is level 1.
The care setting is acute. The division is allied health.
