UCHealth is seeking a Charge Nurse for our Surgical Progressive Care Unit, a crucial role within our nonprofit healthcare system based in Colorado. This position involves overseeing the clinical and administrative operations of the unit, ensuring the highest quality of patient care and coordinating care plans alongside physicians and other healthcare professionals. Supervise nursing staff and provide clinical direction. Ensure adherence to hospital policies and healthcare regulations. Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans. Manage patient care including monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Maintain the unit’s operational standards and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes. Facilitate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Lead training sessions and mentorship programs for nursing staff. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle high-stress environments Proficiency in using medical software and patient management systems Advanced knowledge of compliance and patient care standards in surgical care settings Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license BLS Certification Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Certified Nurse Leader (CNL) or Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP) preferred
