Cardiovascular Sonographer Traveler at UCHealth summary: A Cardiovascular Sonographer Traveler performs advanced ultrasound imaging procedures to diagnose and monitor cardiac and vascular conditions. This role involves patient care, equipment operation, quality control, and collaboration in a multidisciplinary clinical environment. The position requires relevant sonography credentials, state licensure if applicable, and maintains safety and quality standards in diagnostic imaging. Description Location:UCHealth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion, US:CO:AuroraDepartment:EchocardiographyFTE:Full Time, 0.9, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)Shift:DaysPay:$60.00 per hour plus travel package/stipendLOCAL Traveler contract options available for those who reside within 75 miles13 week assignments available - extension optionsMinimum Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program. - 1 adult echo and 1 vascular credential from: ARDMS: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - Adult (AE); Vascular Technologist (RVT). - CCI: Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Cardiac Congenital Sonographer (RCCS), Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS). - State licensure if required by law. - BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice - Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to change in status as appropriate. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. - Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary. Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).
