Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Travel RN – Med Surg Location: Denver, CO Contract Length: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights – 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Specialty: Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) Experience Required: Minimum 2 years Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and energetic Med Surg Registered Nurse for a 13-week night shift travel assignment on a high-volume medical-surgical unit. Ideal candidates thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with a variety of patient needs, including wound care and surgical recovery. Unit Details: - Unit Name: 6 MedTele - Beds: 33 rooms, up to 49 patients (includes some semi-private rooms) - Night Shift Staffing: 1 Charge RN, 1.5 Techs, 5–6 RNs - Patient Ratio: 5:1 (nights) - EMR: Meditech - Equipment: Telemetry monitoring Travel Pay Rate: $18 On W2 $1611 non taxable Stipend = $2259 (Weekly Gross) Required Skills: - Active RN license - BLS certification - Recent Med/Surg nursing experience Preferred Experience: - Experience with spinal cord injury (SCI) patients - Familiarity with surgical flap recovery care - Exposure to light burn care or collaboration with burn units Common Procedures: - Wound care - Occasional bowel programs - Burn care (low acuity) Ideal Candidate Profile: - Energetic and adaptable RN - Comfortable working on a busy, high-acuity Med Surg floor - Team-oriented and proactive under pressure Why Join This Unit?
