Job Title: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Profession: RCIS Specialty: - Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 0700-1730 Experience: One year of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience preferred License: RCIS, RCES, or ARRT with CI DORA required Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required Must-Have: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) RRT with post primary certification of Cardiac Interventional Radiography through ARRT Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technologist Certification upon hire Description: Effectively assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular procedures. This includes diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation (IABP), and electrophysiology studies. Evaluate and document patient status and respond appropriately. Intervene or refer in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Reflect clinical expertise, competence, and proficiency based on knowledge and skills. Exceed essential job responsibilities per department standards. Demonstrate commitment to continued learning and sharing knowledge with patients and co-workers. Exhibit “team player” characteristics, including punctuality and willingness to assist others. Participate in performance improvement activities to evaluate care outcomes. Accept accountability for the use of evidence to monitor and improve care based on regulatory and practice standards. Inform the primary health care team to ensure patient safety and foster optimal outcomes. Adapt approach based on patient and family understanding of test procedures. Troubleshoot and correct recording instrument malfunctions or unusual patient problems. Independently prioritize clinical and administrative work and identify process improvements. Process patient and department records ensuring documentation of performed tests in accordance with standards.
