: UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, US:CO:Colorado Springs
Department : UCHlth Enterprise Float Pool FTE : Part Time, 0.6,
48.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift : Flex. Mix of 12 and 8
hour shifts Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on
applicant's relevant experience . Summary : Facilitates the safe
and efficient performance of surgical procedures. This position
will float to all Colorado Springs and Woodland Park hospital
locations. At least 1 year experience with general surgical cases
is necessary to be able to float to all locations successfully.
Hours vary based on hospital start times and can be between 8 - 12
hour shifts depending on location. There is a combination of
hours/days per week to achieve meeting FTE. Responsibilities :
Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions,
instruments, equipment and supplies. Ensures good working order of
equipment and instruments. Assists with preparing, transporting,
positioning and draping patients. Passes instruments to physician
during surgery. Continually accounts for number and location of
instruments and supplies during surgery. Receives and processes
specimens for delivery to the laboratory. Within scope of job,
requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the
ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a
fast-paced environment and take appropriate action. Requirements :
High School diploma or GED or Military trained. State Surgical
Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. 6 months Surgical
Tech experience or graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red
Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before
start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of
