As a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in our skilled nursing facility, you will play a vital role in providing specialized respiratory care and support to our residents. You will assess, treat, and manage residents with a wide range of cardiopulmonary conditions, ensuring their comfort, optimizing their respiratory function, and improving their overall quality of life. Your expertise in administering respiratory therapies & monitoring patient responses will be essential in delivering exceptional patient-centered care within our long-term care setting. -

  Requirements:
  
  • 
    
  • Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado. Must possess an active CRT or RRT credential.
    
  • Must possess, as a minimum, an associate degree from an accredited school.
    
  • Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting.
    
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
    
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
    
  • Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC).
    
    Responsibilities: -
    
    • 
      
    • Receives and follows schedule/instructions for resident care as assigned from the director of nursing and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
      
    • Performs focused interview to identify specific resident needs.
      
    • Assesses signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the resident's condition and notifies supervisor and documents in PCC.
      
    • Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and information from health care members and documents actual and/or potential diagnoses, coordinates care with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and documents in resident electronic chart (Point Click Care/PCC). -
      
    • Works with the nursing team assigned as primarily responsible for the resident. - Communicates with the physician as needed and ensures communication of resident care needs is electronically documented.
      
    • Complies with PHI and HIPAA policies regarding any disclosure of resident status.
      
    • Plans for outcomes of care for those residents assigned.
      
    • Performs interventions according to identified priorities, plan of care, and the community policies and adheres to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures of the community.
      
    • Promotes and participates in activities to facilitate effective interpersonal communications.
      
    • Reports changes in the resident's respiratory status to the Directors of Nursing and Respiratory Care.
      
    • Develops and maintains a good working rapport with inter-department personnel.
