Full-time Description JOB SUMMARY The Supply Chain and Client Account Specialist is responsible for managing the execution of assigned customer programs within a wire harness manufacturing environment. This role serves as the primary interface between the customer and internal teams to ensure successful coordination of customer support, supply chain activities, and program execution. This position will be located in either Ogden, UT or Denver/Colorado Springs, CO. The Supply Chain and Client Account Specialist also oversees program performance from initial quote through production and delivery. This includes coordinating material availability, managing production schedules, communicating program status, and ensuring compliance with contract, technical, and quality requirements. The role works closely with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure programs are executed efficiently and customer expectations are met. Success in this role is measured by customer satisfaction, on-time delivery performance, supply chain readiness, and effective program execution. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Customer Support & Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customer representatives Communicate program status, delivery schedules, risks, and changes to customers Support customer inquiries and issue resolution Participate in customer meetings, program reviews, and status updates Identify opportunities for account growth and continuous improvement through deep understanding GMRE capabilities and customer needs. Supply Chain Coordination Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure materials support production schedules Monitor material availability and identify supply risks or long-lead components Assist with creating cost and labor estimates based on engineering drawing packages. Track supplier delivery performance with procurement Support material planning and inventory coordination Assist in resolving supply chain disruptions and implementing mitigation plans Ensure supply chain activities align with program schedules and commitments Project and Program Management Manage programs from estimating through production and final delivery Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, procurement, and quality Provides functional leadership across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams supporting program execution Develop and monitor program schedules to ensure on-time delivery Track key milestones and identify risks to schedule, cost, or performance Support preparation of customer quotations Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, military specifications, and quality standards Communicate risks and mitigation plans to leadership Support continuous improvement initiatives WHY WORK FOR GMRE? Requirements REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES Understanding of manufacturing processes, preferably wire harness or electrical assembly Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation Knowledge of supply chain coordination including procurement and material planning Experience using ERP systems for quoting, scheduling, and tracking Strong project management and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously Strong communication and customer relationship skills Knowledge of defense industry standards preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) 2 years of experience in manufacturing, defense industry, or program support environments preferred Experience in wire harness, electronics manufacturing, or similar electrical assembly environments preferred Experience coordinating cross-functional teams Project or program management experience preferred Success Metrics / Performance Expectations Customer Support Maintain strong customer relationships Responsiveness to customer inquiries and program updates Effective communication of risks, schedule changes, and status Supply Chain Performance Material readiness for production schedules Supplier delivery performance Identification and mitigation of supply chain risks Effective management of shortages or disruptions Program Execution On-time delivery performance Effective management of schedules and milestones Coordination across engineering, procurement, operations, and quality Compliance with contractual and quality requirements Operational Effectiveness Ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously Identification of improvements that enhance delivery or efficiency Contribution to operational and continuous improvement initiatives SECURITY CLEARANCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS May require eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance depending on program requirements. Valid driver’s license may be required for occasional company business travel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. TRAVEL REQUIRED Occasional travel may be required for customer meetings, program reviews, training, or supplier visits. Estimated travel requirement: 0–10%. Salary Description $75,000 - $90,000
