Job Description:
Location: Golden, CO General Description: Apply technical skills
and expertise in the development and customization of water and
wastewater treatment systems, with an emphasis on product design
and customization for sold projects. Enable Parkson to meet
external customer needs through coordination of design with
internal groups such as Sales, Application Engineering, Production,
Project Management, as well as external fabricators and suppliers.
Key areas of accountability include accurate submittal and
fabrication release packages in accordance with industry and
Parkson specific standards, checking, drafting task management, and
managing scheduled due dates, as well as generation of Bill of
Materials and related engineering documents, review of product
specifications and other project related engineering data.
Essential Functions: Prepares detailed drawings based on standards,
sketches, and notes to support engineering and manufacturing
purposes. Creates drawings using standard drafting techniques and
computer-assisted design/drafting equipment. Ensures drafting style
consistency between drawings as per ANSI drafting standards.
Organization and creation of Submittal Packages, Fabrication
Documentation Packages, Bill of Materials with ERP Entry, Release
and Management, and Installation Manual Creation Checking own work
and work created by another Designer/Drafter. Seek clarity and
advice from the Engineering Manager as needed to ensure design
questions are answered before submittal preparation. Interfaces
with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality to ensure
smooth flow of technical information to maintain committed
schedules to customers. Manages CAD files in Autodesk Vault
environment, translates electronic documents between various
formats (DWG, DXF, STP, PDF, ZIP, etc.) Interface with and travel
to fabricators as required. Interface with and travel to job sites

with or without notice. Education: A two-year associate degree or
certification from an accredited institution with focus on CAD or
Engineering or equivalent experience. Experience: 10 years
mechanical or industrial design and CAD experience in 2D and 3D.
Large or complex modelling and drafting experience is beneficial.
Experience with municipal water or wastewater treatment equipment
is preferred. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Proficient Autodesk
Inventor or equivalent 3D-Software. Experience with Autodesk Vault
or equivalent CAD data management tool. Proficiency in Microsoft
Office and Adobe Acrobat. Working knowledge of ERP & PLM systems
preferred. Familiarity with metal fabrication, machining, welding,
and assembly processes. Checking drawings including self-checking.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and
written. Licenses and/or Certifications: Autodesk Certified
Professional in Inventor for Mechanical Design or equivalent
certification is preferred Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%,
domestic and international. Benefits include health care (medical,
