Job descriptionWest Direct Oil is currently seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic for our Johnstown, CO location. Duties include working on fleet delivery vehicles and customers. Maintains diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; making adjustments and alignments; keeping records. **WE NOW OFFER A $2500 SIGN ON BONUS FOR ALL NEW EMPLOYEES**Essential Duties:MUST HAVE 3-5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE OF MECHANIC EXPERIENCEInspecting, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing repairs and maintenance on equipment. Engine diagnostics a plus.Welds equipment as needed.Interpret work orders and technical manuals.Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets the manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations.Able to work in a fast-paced work environment.Must possess the strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions.The ability to work alone or as a team.The ability to keep up with changing technology and updates. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Experience working with oil and fuel trucks a plusMust supply own toolsAbility to recognize vehicle maintenance needs; ability to interpret policies and procedures, maps, and route directions.
