Job Description:

Support instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervise assigned students and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet the learner needs of all students increasing the probability of advancing their achievement. Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members. Roles and Responsibilities 1. Teach the approved Summit School District curriculum based on lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher and follow preschool expectations. 2. Implement the regular teacher’s assigned responsibilities, plans, and schedule. 3. Assess student work when appropriate and time permits. 4. Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning, and maximizes learning time. 5. Plan with grade level teammates. 6. Establish and demonstrate positive human relations with students, parents, other staff members, and the community. 7. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of all student information. 8. Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning and maximizing learning time. 9. Comply with State, District and School policies and procedures including meeting with assigned students at scheduled location and time. 10. Utilize the Substitute management System/SMARTFIND system to accept/decline/manage his/her work and schedule in the capacity of a substitute teacher. 11. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of all student information. 12. Comply with District and School policies and procedures. 13. Other duties as assigned. 14. Work closely with the preschool paraprofessional to ensure student learning and safety. Qualifications Effective communication and interpersonal skills Effective time management and organizational skills 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute license OR Current Colorado Teacher's License Wage $32.77 per hour. *based on Teacher Schedule Current SY 22-23 Salary schedule here. This position is not benefits eligible. Schedule For all positions, experience is determined by years of work in the same job title. Experience that is similar but not the same job may be calculated at a 3:1 credit for years of experience. Year of Experience shall be whole numbers and not partial years.
