Preparer to join our team on a contract basis in Denver, Colorado.
In this role, you will assist individuals and businesses with their
tax preparation needs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with
relevant regulations. This position requires strong attention to
detail and proficiency in using tax software systems.
Responsibilities: • Prepare and file tax returns for individuals
and businesses, ensuring compliance with federal and state
regulations. • Utilize various accounting software systems to
manage and analyze financial data. • Conduct thorough reviews of
financial records to identify deductions and allowances. • Assist
clients with tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities and
maximize refunds. • Stay updated on changes to tax laws and
regulations to provide accurate advice. • Handle customer inquiries
professionally, offering clear and helpful guidance. • Manage data
entry tasks related to tax preparation with a high level of
accuracy. • Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are
met efficiently. • Identify discrepancies in financial records and
resolve them promptly. • Provide support for audits or additional
documentation as required.• Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or
in a similar role. • Proficiency in accounting software systems
such as CCH ProSystem Fx, Drake Tax Software, and ADP Financial
Services. • Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and
regulations. • Excellent data entry skills with attention to
detail. • Ability to analyze financial records and identify
deductions and allowances. • Effective communication and customer
service skills. • Capability to work under tight deadlines and
manage multiple tasks. • Familiarity with tax planning strategies
and audit preparation.
