Job Description:

The Senior Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will serve as a trusted adviser to our business leadership, to help inform and guide decision-making through business partner support and insightful analyses. We are looking for a bright, goal-oriented individual who will succeed in a fast-paced environment and thrive in creating and improving decision-making processes that will allow Commnet Broadband to scale. This role will have significant exposure to Commnet's executive team as well as many cross functional business groups. The successful candidate in this role will be responsible for supporting all types of corporate strategy, business planning, and corporate development initiatives. You will collaborate with various business unit and corporate functions to provide data-driven insights that support actionable strategic direction, corporate prioritization, and strategy communication through financial modeling and analysis, assessment of business, financial, and KPI performance, analysis of industry and competitive intelligence, as well as the identification of expansion opportunities. Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)

  • Support executive leadership's needs for budgeting, forecasting, reporting, monthly variance analysis, and ad hoc financial/business analysis to help understand and drive business decisions.
  • Develop financial models and analyze them to support strategic initiatives.
  • Manage internal strategic financial analyses, operational improvement projects, scenario analysis for mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures, minority investments, and divestitures, as needed.
  • Work with accounting, operations, business development, human resources, and legal teams to provide financial support as needed.
  • Must be comfortable leading meetings and be able to communicate issues and trends to senior management and other groups at the appropriate level of detail.
  • Leads the development and implementation of key performance indicators and benchmarks for financial planning and control for both the departmental operating budget and forecasts
  • Demonstrate a dynamic understanding of complex problems and an ability to clearly present and communicate recommendations to senior leaders, including suggestions for course correction
  • Analyze the financial impact of emerging business opportunities, sales strategies, and promotions to enhance tactical decision making and provide guidance to help achieve financial targets, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Ability to achieve deadlines while managing multiple and changing projects, receive and incorporate executive level feedback, and work cross functionally to build consensus on goals, assumptions, and conclusions
    Required Qualifications:
    • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, or a scientific discipline.
    • 7+ years professional experience in finance/accounting, strategy, and/or operations
    • Experience working with proprietary planning and reporting tools; ability to utilize systems functionality, to extract and manipulate data in support of further analysis and modeling.
    • Exposure to working with senior leaders on financial planning and/or reporting.
    • Familiarity designing efficient processes for data acquisition and modeling
    • High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
      Desired Qualifications:
      • MBA and/or relevant advanced certifications
      • Prior experience with NetSuite and Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service ("PBCS"), or similar general ledger and reporting applications

Compensation & Benefits:
        • Hiring Compensation Range: $122,000 - $179,000 (compensation determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
        • Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
